Our Grand Map

A map of our entire 11-acre woodland establishment

Flowerpots

Our flowerpots are used by children all throughout the year to learn about gardening. They learn about every kind of flower that grows locally and how to look after them. Gardening isn't as easy as it seems!

Farmland

We've hand built special planting zones for our outdoor crops to protect them from our animals. Children learn about how vegetables respond to different seasons. The fact they end up in our kitchen after every harvest even gives us a good reason to have fun!

Greenhouse

Our large greenhouse allows to experiment with different crops even during the cool winter months! We get to planting tomatoes, carrots, parsnips and everything else that tastes fantastic in our meals.

Small Greenhouse

Our small greenhouse is used for growing baby crops. Children get to play with mud as they plant seeds directly into pots. The grapevine we have over the ceiling also gives us a delicious snack when it bears fruit.

Chicken Heaven

Our truly free-range chickens have a whole field all to themselves. Everyday, we feed them and collect eggs for breakfast. Children learn that even the smallest of our friends are able to play an important part in our lives.

Alpaca Land

The name is slightly a lie, our alpaca land houses not only our alpacas, but our sheep too! Our woolly friends are fed by the children everyday.

Bike Park

Our bike park is where children learn valuable motor skills right next to the woodlands! We have a huge flat path to play on, along with some logs for sitting down or climbing.

Animals Wild Wood

The Wild Wood is where we can play when we want to run through an untouched piece of woodland without any structures. It's fully enclosed and perfect for games such as hide and seek or to play pretend as creatures in the wood.

Santa's Grotto

Although Santa does visit us in his Grotto, we make good use of it all throughout the year. It's excellent for storytime or planning what we'll be doing throughout the day.

White Deer

Our Guardian of the Forest, the White Deer that keeps us safe is an excellent place to have a snack or a rest after a busy day of running about in the forest.

Fairy Tree

We have multiple fairy trees in our forest, and they are all used for various games and fun. The children picked them out themselves!

Hidden Paths

We have plenty of hidden paths in the forest, we make sure to travel through them every time we go on a bear hunt.

Badger's Rest

It's always a pleasure to take a rest next to our pet badger underneath his huge tree. The canopy provides a perfect break from the sun on a dry day, and cover from the rain on a wet one!

Logs

Our huge log pile is a site to see. All the wood is sourced locally, and used for us to hand make all the standing structures at Evergreen Forest Nursery!

Pirate Ship

Our Pirate Ship and the surrounding play area is excellent for role playing. Children become pirates, sea monsters, sailors and everything else. We have climbing frames and a quad to play on too!

Aeroplane

Our plane, right next to the Pirate Ship, is great fun for children to play and train their imagination. They become pilots soaring through the skies.

Beehives

We have plenty of beehives spread across the property. Children learn all about our tiny friends as they help us take out honeycombs in the summer. Don't worry, we have child-sized beesuits ready!

Fairy Door

Whenever we have a surprise guest for the children at Evergreen Forest Nursery, they always come in through the magical Fairy Door.

Fallen Tree

Never to take disaster badly, when heavy winds hit our forest, they knocked over some trees. We kept this one because children loved playing on it so much!

Santa's Postbox

Every year, we make sure to send a letter to Santa in this postbox. An elf comes to pick it up in the night, and Santa really writes back to us!

Gargoyles

Like the White Deer, the Gargoyles make sure to protect our forest from any sort of annoying forest creatures that might come along and cause trouble.

Pirate House

Our hand built pirate house is a wonderful location to take shelter for stories or during rain. We have a whole assortment of musical instruments for children to play there too!

Magic Stream

The Magic Stream is where we collect water to play with in the mud kitchen, Micheal even made us a bridge to safely cross it.

Hidden Forest

The Hidden Forest, located just past the Magic Stream is our safe place to play. It has lots of toys, climbing frames, houses and sheds we've made ourselves to keep children playing all the time!

Mud Kitchen

The Mud Kitchen is where children role play as world-class masterchefs. We have a water supply, and in terms of pots and pans, we're as well equipped as any five-star restaurant.

Fireplace

Our fireplace, with logs for us to sit on, is where we learn how to start fires and toast marshmallows. Hot cocoa is always available too!

Pizza Oven

We have our own pizza oven at Evergreen Forest Nursery. Everyone loves pizza, and we're more than happy to teach the children how to make it. Meals taste even better when you eat them yourself, and all the children cannot wait before they try their own pizza!

Outdoor Cooking Station

Our cooking station is always kept clean and ready safe for children to make their own food. We use it all the time! For baking our own cakes and bread, to rolling out pizzas! Cooking is fun, and it's even more fun outdoors.
